Hi there, and thank you for visiting our website!

My name is Carrie, and I started this rescue back in 2009. I have always had a passion for animals, and had started volunteering my time helping other rescues in  2007.

I learned a LOT about rescues before starting my own. None of them are the same - everyone has different goals and passions. I go into a little more detail about this on our FAQ page under the "Welcome" heading :)

I have formed some great relationships with fellow rescuers in Northern BC, and this is where most of our animals come from, although we are open to helping many more creatures if time and funding allows.

Most of the animals in our rescue have been fostered with me for some length of time, and dealing with us has a more "personal" than "business" feeling to it.

Please remember that me and the other volunteers of this rescue are just that - volunteers :) We all have families, day jobs, and our own animals to take care of, on top of volunteering with the rescue sometimes 24 hours a day!

Thank you so much for your interest in our rescue and rescue animals, and I look forward to talking with you more!

Carrie :)

Blaize:

Blaize is an amazing male samoyed. He is from a breeder, and I have had him since a puppy. Raising a puppy is a lot of work, but very rewarding, and he is very much my "son".

If you are looking to get your dog from a breeder, I would be happy to talk to you. There are many many terrible breeders out in the world, but it is also possible to find great breeders who care for their animals, support rescue, and offer life long support to their extended doggy families. If you would like more information on how to find a good, ethical, reputable breeder we can definitely help you, as well as maybe give you some insight on the cons of adopting a purebred animal.

Sasha:

Sasha is very much my "soul mate" dog. Me and her are a match in so many ways it is incredible. She was a street dog from Taiwan, brought over with the help of a wonderful rescue group we work with called TUAPA (see more about them under our "adoption" heading). Sasha is my first "foster failure".

I don't know how old Sasha is or her history, but I do get to enjoy every new day I have with her. She is a little silly, easily distracted, and took 6 months to house train, but I am so glad I have her, and would not trade her or the experiences she has given me for anything else in the world!

Thank you Blaize and Sasha for being the best dogs in the world, helping mom with the rescue, "babysitting" puppies, and "teaching" unruly adolescents. I hope everyone has the chance for experiencing dog love like you have given me the chance to!
